To help explain the pair of winged lions above, I've put them in as a tribute to my dear old Alkeron and his master- slave driv- ... uh... 'love', Umbrati. Alk died before his time so Umb, in her infinite wisdom, tore off his tail and kept it as a souvenir. Unfortunately he also ended up being teased by his fellow angels because of the stump left behind. ... Soooo now that Umbrati is dead as a doornail, she has gleefully skip-flapped back to return it to him - and as you can see, Alkeron is thrilled. <3 On the bottom row, left to right: Matani, Leader and Kamili. Actually, I'm ashamed to say that I think I love drawing lions (sure took me long enough, hated 'em at first). They're like a drug for me - inside my comfort zone, I guess. XD
I do happen to be open for commissions right now but no art trades for a little while. If you have $15 and a description of your lion, feel free to ask!
He's my favorite too. x) I get a kick out of character descriptions going ooonnn and oooonnnn about how macho and chiseled their physique is and how big-snarly-vicious they are, etc., so when I joined Tanz I made a fat, flabby lion to mock them. Apparently it worked.
