Uh. Yeah. Anyway, this picture is just a lineup of the royals from Noctis Mortis. Whoopee! (It took me forever.  )--- Noctis Mortis is the only remaining pride from whence the furcadia dream, Tanzania, opened in 2005. They have ruled their entire time in the far Southwest. And now, the lineage! Generation 1 Reign: April 2005 – December 2005 Royals: King Zere & Queen Maduhili Cubs: Ismitta & Nkosi Zere was the son of the murderous Kovu, King of Macabre. He had a malicious albino brother whom eventually was the knife of his fate. Zere was born in Serengeti. After his parents abandoned him, an adolescent hyena named Oz took him to the Tanzanian lands. As he grew, he paired with a Second, Machete and made a pride within the SouthWest. Maduhili had no listed parents. She was an original member of Noctis Mortis and was the only first generation Queen. She left the pride to search for her King when he had, unbeknownst to them, been slaughtered. She eventually returned to name her young son King. She lived a long time after Zere died and had a peaceful death. Nkosi buried her beside Zere in NM’s secret burial grounds. Generation 2 Reign: December 2005 – April 2007 Lineage: Son of Zere and Maduhili Royals: King Nkosi & Queen Maibe Cubs: Iseult, Hera, Diogenes Nkosi was best known for his schizophrenia. As a child, he had suffered a traumatizing attack where he suffered a great deal of brain damage. He was put on the throne young and learned the basics by ear or day-by-day experiences. He had a distinctive way of sitting, which has been passed down to his last son. A very short and wild temper, but also the vacuous grin of an amused child. He lost sight in one eye in some battle. His death is unknown. He killed the son of his albino uncle and then disappeared. ([link]) Maibe was the first of many Noctis Mortis second generation queens. She ruled for seven months and did give birth to an heir: Iseult. She is not Diogenes’s mother, but she was Nkosi’s love. She was kind and thoughtful. She was a strong leader when they needed it most. She was killed by Eze, Zere’s albino brother mentioned above. Generation 3 Reign: April 2007 – June 2008 Lineage: Daughter of Nkosi and Maibe Royals: Queen Iseult & King Clyde Cubs: Calcifer, Maibe (II), Artemia, Maleficent Iseult was the first born daughter of Nkosi and Maibe. Like her father though, she had bad luck as a cub. A hyena attack led to a gimp back leg which began to worsen as she aged. She fell in love with the last cub of Machete, Clyde, who began to woo her from afar. Daddy wouldn’t let that li-liger near! An attack and an infection led to a rotting leg. Clyde was forced one evening to bite and shred until he severed his love’s leg, in a last ditch resort. When Nkosi disappeared, his last son Diogenes, was rescued. Iseult decided to raise her brother as her son instead. Clyde came from a different but familiar lineage. His mother actually was one of Nkosi’s queens. Iseult and Clyde shared siblings sometimes yet had no blood relation to each other. He is the son of Noctis Mortis’s first Second, Machete, and a fluke of hybrid blood. He did not want to rule, but he did protect his love's domain until his size began to slow him down. He was lazy, but a kind and forceful king. The two were last seen traveling off Tanzanian lands, leaving Diogenes up to bat. Generation 4 Reign: June 2008 – January 2009 Lineage: Son of Nkosi and Cosette Royals: King Diogenes & Queen Cassidy Cubs: Magnum & Henna (with Bastet) Diogenes was an odd choice for the heir. Unfortunately, Iseult and Clyde did not have many options. Hidan (a son of Nkosi) had been killed and all his cubs were deceased or gone. Their royal cubs, listed above, were not options either. Calcifer had taken a more deceitful turn from the family and Maleficent and Artemia decided to depart for their own wanderings. Maibe II was still too young. Diogenes at adolescence had started to show violent forms of schizophrenia just as his father (Nkosi) had done. He is rather unconditional with childish and vacuous approaches. But when need-be, just like his old man that rage builds up. Like the spasms that haunt him daily from a mental illness, his personality switches off and on like a light. Given that, he is hard to read. Cassidy is a new comer. She has no distinct past besides a brother, Zodd, whom usually wanders in the west. She met Diogenes by chance when they were just adolescents and decided to hang around the pride. She is very strict and outspoken. She is not afraid to push others around to show her authority, even to her King. Her personality is very evasive and almost anti-social. She has a strong connection for her absurd King and makes sure to keep him straight. She seems though, even with her loyalty, to have some distaste for prides in general. Diogenes’s illness continued to worsen. She did what she thought was best and forced him to step down. They now travel, leaving the nomadic pride to young Maibe II. Generation 5 (Not included in picture) Lineage: Last Daughter of Clyde and Iseult Royals: Queen Maibe (II) Cubs: No cubs to date Maibe (II) was named for her grandmother. She was a cub that was often forgotten. She never stuck around much as a child. She clung to her older, evil brother, Calcifer. In fact, she was close to all her family. She loved Diogenes and all his faults, and was a major daddy’s princess. She was always playing with Clyde even when he just wanted to laze. Cassidy told her to let Noctis Mortis fall. The lineage was done. Diogenes was too sick. Maibe let them leave, but did not accept such a fate. She went to a neighboring pride which had stolen remaining NM members. She fought with her life and earned them back. With that done and after the great flood, she returned to the remainder of NM lands. She stepped up as the fifth official Queen. Though times are different, she still keeps the name, Noctis Mortis, alive. |
